Requirements to Apply for VIPKid

Bachelors Degree

Must have a bachelors degree or higher in any field of study.

1 Year of Teaching Experience

Must have 1 year of teaching experience. This doesn't have to be professional in a classroom. It could be volunteering, coaching, tutoring, assisting your children with homework and more. It has to be equivalent to 1 year of full time teaching, and it could be a combination of several different experiences.

Eligibility to work in the US or Canada

You need to have experience with the K-12 curriculum in America or Canada. This could be homeschooling, teaching or even attending school in America/Canada yourself. They are looking for an American accent and that is why they have this as a requirement.

2- Certifications

You choose level 2/3 (Beginner/Intermediate) or level 4/5 (Intermediate/Advanced) or both because you are an overachiever. Most do level 2/3 because the majority of our students are in this level. You will prepare both 10 minute lessons in that level, but you will only teach one of them (Your mentor will decide on the spot at your certification). Once you schedule your certification class you will have access to a practice room in your portal. Use it! You have unlimited tries to complete your certification & having a coach will help.
